About the Role
Job Summary:
The SAP HANA Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for
SAP HANA systems. This role includes troubleshooting issues, performing system upgrades, ensuring
database integrity, and working with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and
reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide first and second-level support for SAP HANA-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP HANA database performance, connectivity, and configuration.
Collaborate with SAP support for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
System Maintenance:
Monitor SAP HANA systems for performance and health, taking proactive measures to ensure system stability.
Perform regular system maintenance tasks including backups, patches, and upgrades.
Ensure database integrity and security by managing user roles, privileges, and monitoring access controls.
Performance Tuning:
Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimize database performance.
Implement tuning recommendations and best practices to enhance system efficiency.
Project Support:
Assist in the implementation and deployment of new SAP HANA projects.
Provide technical expertise during project planning, development, and testing phases.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions. Prepare and present regular reports on system performance and support activities.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:1 - 2 years of experience in SAP HANA/SAP Fiori support or a similar role.
Proven experience in SAP HANA administration, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Familiarity with SAP Basis administration and troubleshooting.
Skills:
Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture and database management.
Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
