About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead with a strong background in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable, secure applications while mentoring the team and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
  • Architect and implement microservices-based solutions to support business needs.
  • Drive Copilot-assisted development and design practices to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with third-party systems and internal services.
  • Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for application deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Manage and optimize database interactions with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement ORM frameworks including Hibernate and JPA for efficient data persistence.
  • Ensure code quality and robustness through unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and version control using GitHub.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and automate release processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Work closely with product owners, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 6+ years in software development with extensive hands-on experience in Java (version 17 or higher) and Spring Boot.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Copilot-driven development methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS and Azure services.
  • Experience in creating and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including writing optimized SQL queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Hibernate, JPA, and related ORM tools.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps best practices.
  • Proficient with GitHub, unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead teams, and work collaboratively in an agile environment.

Good to have

  • Experience in cloud-native application development and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks.
