Patient Care Counselor

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a primary patient touchpoint for queries, guidance, and ongoing support.
• Build meaningful patient relationships through empathetic and professional interactions.
• Provide care-related counselling and help patients better understand recommended treatment or wellness plans.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical teams to ensure timely follow-ups and continuity of care.
• Support patient engagement initiatives aimed at improving experience and satisfaction.
• Monitor patient progress and feedback while escalating concerns when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care updates.
• Champion a patient-first approach across every interaction and engagement.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Nursing, Nutrition, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline.
• 1–4 years of experience in patient counselling, nutrition counselling, nursing, care coordination, or healthcare services.
• Strong understanding of patient care practices and healthcare environments.
• Experience in a hospital or patient-facing healthcare setting will be preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills in English and Tamil.
• High levels of empathy and emotional intelligence when interacting with patients and caregivers.
• Strong interpersonal and counselling abilities with a patient-centric mindset.
