Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python and Django.
Build scalable, high-performance systems capable of handling large user volumes and real-time data.
Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Optimize system performance, latency, reliability, and scalability.
Ensure secure data handling, authentication, authorization, and compliance best practices.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering standards.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python.
Strong experience with Django or similar Python frameworks.
Proven expertise in API design and development.
Exposure to AI / ML-driven systems or data-intensive applications.
Experience building scalable systems handling real-time or high-throughput data.
Strong understanding of backend architecture, performance tuning, and system reliability.
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams.
Good to Have
Experience working in sports-tech, fitness, or performance-driven platforms.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience with asynchronous processing, background jobs, or event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
